What is a personal shopper?
There are 3 types of personal shoppers:

one who does your shopping for you and delivers it
one who goes with you as a consultant to advise you on purchases
one who takes people shopping for recreational purposes

Why would I hire a concierge service or personal shopper? And how do I justify this service?
Time is money. We all have things at which we are skilled/trained. Personal shoppers, concierges and errand runners are skilled and trained and therefore can complete the tasks in less time and more efficiently than non-professionals. By using an assistant, you get back the time you would normally spend on errands/shopping to use for quality of life activities.

I like to be in control. Is this service for me?
Absolutely! What better way to feel in control of your life than to have everything there when you need it instead of having to go out and buy it. The "To Do" list suddenly becomes a lot shorter and you will have people asking how you do it.

If it is legal and reasonable, we can purchase it for you or provide you with quality product research so that you can make the final transaction yourself.

I don’t think I can afford this service? What does it cost?
A personal assistant is no longer considered a luxury for the rich and famous. It is considered a time-saver and insurance that you regain quality of life. It is also not as expensive as you think. Short term projects are based on an hourly fee (usually $35-50/hr) while long term projects are usually given a flat fee structure. We price each client's needs individually so please call us for an estimate.

What if I don't have time for a consultation?
This is not a problem for smaller projects. We can answer your questions via email or over the phone. Larger scale projects not only cost more but have more moving pieces so a consultation is advisable.

What qualifications does ON THE GO 4 U^®, LLC have?
There is not a certification or qualification for personal shoppers and concierges per se. However, our consultants are constantly studying trends and researching the local market. The owner and founder has a strong background in fashion design, travel, culture and management. Our personal assistants have backgrounds/training in secretarial and computer skills and our design consultant has completed certification at the Sheffield School of Interior Design. In addition, we are licensed to operate by the Town of Leesburg and are members of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce and International Concierge & Errand Association (ICEA) and a certified woman owned business in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
